Hello! And a Happy Wednesday to you! Here we are mid week already! Today it was a nice day out (after a few days of gloomy and rainy weather) so I sent the kids to play in the backyard. While they were out I had some time to play along with CAS-ual Fridays Graduation challenge. I am really happy that I had some time to play along, I love the challenge but haven't been able to play along yet! And I need to make some grad cards, and I had a fun idea for it. Plus Market Street Stamps are there sponsor and they have some cute images!
Here is the card that I made:
I used Critters in the Forest and Hats off to you by Lawn Fawn which I've had for a bit but hadn't played with! I stamped the background with HA's ledger and border punched it to give it a school look. Colored the owl, hat and the branch with derwent pencils. I love CAS and love adding something to make it stand out. Which I did with the tassel. I made the tassel myself out of some embroidery floss, I've actually had this idea for a while so happy I finally did it! Added the cute woo hoo sentiment for the fun and the joy a graduate feels to finally be done! Here's a close up of the tiny tassle:
Last night I went out with a good friend and we went shopping (birthday presents, Ariel has 4 birthdays in a week!) and we saw a movie, we saw:
I don't know if you know this but Something borrowed is based on a book by Emily Giffin. A really good book might I add. We both read and loved the book (and the second book Something Blue) so we wanted to see the movie together And it was a great movie, and a great take of the book. I highly suggest you read the 2 books first as they are sooo good and so easy to read too.
