Hi everyone! As you are reading this I am currently on my way to Minneapolis with 3 of my girl friends for Scrapfest! I am so excited! I can't wait to see all my flickr friends! I want to let you know that I won't be able to comment on your blogs while I am gone, I won't have a chance! But I will be doing a random giveaway to someone or someones who leave me comments while I am gone! I don't care if you win a lot and feel like you shouldn't, I am blessed by all the times you do comment!
Getting ready to go was a bit crazy. When Ariel came home from school on Tuesday she was so excited because she was going to be leader of the day on Thursday (today)! Being leader of the day means she gets to have a show and tell to talk in front of the whole class, and fill a bag brought home with things that start with the letter B, and bring a healthy snack for her whole class, 22 kids! Perfect timing right? And such short notice! So last night we made something that starts with the letter B, Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins! I had to double the recipe to have enough for the kids, than I figured I may as well triple it so there is leftovers for us! All my friends told me that I should have just bought something for her class, but that's not me and not what my mother did for me. Or maybe it's because it's the first time, the fun will wear off? On Tuesday night I went to the grocery store and went through all the banana's and bought the most ripe ones, than placed them on the counter with lots of apples on top (apples ripen banana's) We peeled 15 banana's to make more than 4 cups of mushed banana's (I like to put extra) and while doing so Carter decides he wants to mush. He takes a fork and keeps saying Mush! Not only does he mush them, he kept licking the fork! I kept having to grab it and wash it! We don't want to spread germs! In the end we made 40 muffins! The kids better love them! I am a little sad that I won't be home when she comes home from school to tell me all about being leader of the day! Oh well only another 22 days of school until it is her turn again! I also did something cute as a surprise for her and put it in her B bag:
I couldn't resist!
I guess I should post a card, eh? Here is my first Christmas card of 2010! Done in September! Nevermind being a person who does Christmas in July I am proud to do it in September!
I was inspired by this Pure Innocence digital stamp to make a Christmas card! I colored the image with my derwent and prisma pencils. I embossed the background with a snowflake cuttlebug folder and tied a bow with silver ribbon! I lined the nestie with glossy accents, and the "fur" of her image and doused it with glitter!
Thank you for reading today, hope you have a wonderful Thursday!
