Hello Crafty Friends! It's Saturday and after such a busy week it's nice to be home and checking off the to do list! I have quite the crafty to do list: finish three wreaths and mail them; do some card write ups for pubs and mail them; make 17 tissue paper flowers for Carter's preschool grad! Oh well good thing I love being crafty right? This week has been a great etsy week, sold 3 wreaths, just got an email of another sale! :>
Today I have a fun card to share with you using one of my favorite stamp sets, Typewriter Notes by Hero Arts. I think the last time I owned or used a typewriter was in high school but that does not stop my love of them! I think I own three sets that feature typewriters!
Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts: Hexagon Background, Typewriter notes
Inks: Hero Arts: Orange Soda, Bubble Gum Pink, Tsuenko: Versamark
Cardstock: Bazzill, and Papertrey Inks Hawaiian Shores
Twine: Twine by the Twinery
I stamped the hexagon background and sentiments with versamark to make a watermark background! I love doing this on a vivid cardstock, looks great!
This week I finished up a local custom order, she wanted the wreath to be wider so I shared with her how to achieve that is a pool noodle, and she wanted that so I did it! It took up a whole thing of yarn (what is a roll or whole yarn called?) Also a new color combo:
A local high school students were looking for some child models to practice taking photos for there photography class so I volunteered my kids (I always love shots of them!) And got some really great shots:
Isn't Carter beyond cute? He's so photogenic! He's 4 and a half turning 5 at the end of August! Tall for his age he looks like he should be going to grade 1 not kindergaten! It's fun to watch at soccer on his team he's the tallest and hasn't played against anyone taller! He's so sweet too and loves his big sister!
Even though they were so silly they still got some great shots of them together!
Ariel is 7 and will be 8 in November! She's finishing grade 2 (already) And though she can't wait for summer she is a great student with her strength being math (even though it's not her favorite) While she is also tall for her age she isn't the tallest girl in her class! I can't believe she is so big!
Well that's it for me! Off to work on my creative list and the home list (you know the one that never ends...) 4 more days of school till Summer starts! Almost here!

Great photos, Anita-- your kids look so much like you!
And I love your typewriter card, too! I got one at a garage sale several years ago-- but I haven't used it that much. My son thinks it fun to write note on, though. ;)

Hi Anita, I hope you are keeping well, it's been a while since I popped in I think, life is just "different" here in sunny South Africa, I seem to have less time! Could that be for real! Anyway, love your card, those colours are really beautiful and I love the hexagon background!
Such beautiful photos of the kids, they really are quite photogenic!
Just a quick question about your wreaths, do you actually hot glue that yarn around the wreath all the way or just on the ends? I just love what you have been doing and the gorgeous colours and designs you have come up with. Hugs, Brenda xx
