A Hello Card and More!

Hello!  Happy Monday!  I hope it's sunny where you are like it is here!  A very hot and gorgeous day today!  We stayed home (boring) cleaned up and organized and took a rest day.  Carter is still having some bad days (sore tummy and bringing up) so taking a rest day today.  I got a lot done but I've moved on to paper crafting....it's clean enough!  It's been so busy with summer and all sorts of things that I am finding that if I don't choose to paper craft and really say it's time for this I don't do it, and I miss it!

Today I have a card to share that has Burlap on it!  I had to get burlap to make a wreath!  And the first burlap I bought wasn't the right stuff and I was so happy to get a better burlap in April....I haven't made a wreath yet but hey I did use it for a card!  I like how it looks on this card!

 Supplies:
Burlap
Stamps:  Avery Elle:  Petals and Stems
Dies:  My Favorite Things Happy Hello die
Inks:  Hero Arts:  Bubble gum pink, orange soda, butterball  Colorbox:  Moss Green
Cardstock:  Bazzill

I recently got the Happy Hello die from My Favorite things and I love it!  Glad I finally used it on a card!  With the burlap it wasn't going to be the easiest to adhere so I put a strong liquid glue on the edge of the o and that basically is holding it on the card!  I adhered the flowers and leaves together and than adhered it to the burlap with foam adhesive, seems to be holding on!

By the way I am having a sale at my etsy shop AnitaRexDesigns!  Save 15% off until July 18,2013!  Use code:  SUMMERFUN2013  I would love it if you saved this image and shared this on your blog or like my AnitaRexDesigns facebook page here and share the image there!  Thank you!

We have been very much enjoying summer!  Hitting pools, wading pools, parks, strawberry picking and having fun with friends! This past weekend the kids spent two nights at the cabin with my inlaws and Chad enjoyed some time to ourselves!  We had a date went out for dinner and than saw:

We loved it!  We love the first one and this one was just as good, Shaquille O Neal really had quite a few laughs from us, I hope he does more comedy!  On Saturday we did a bit of shopping (dragged Chad to two craft stores!)  Had a great long nap than we went out with some friends of ours to watch the football game and after that we went to see:

Yes it was good, would I want to see it again nope, I hate fighting movies!  And over the weekend I read:

Yes it's a follow up to the popular Devil Wears Prada and it's really good.  While I had no idea what to expect from the book I really enjoyed it!   A great story!

And that's it for me!  We are off for some after dinner frozen yogurt!

Hi Anita! Love how the bright colors look against the burlap! You've inspired me to try this with some linen. Sounds like a fun summer - it's going fast now!

The colours on your wreath are so pretty!
I haven't seen either of those movies, but I saw Devil Wears Prada-- I wonder if they'll make a sequel to the movie....
