Hello Friends! It's been a busy few days over here, yesterday was the last day of school! Today is Day 1 of Summer! :> I thought I would pop in and share the teacher gifts I made and about the last day of school!
This year I had 8 teachers to have gifts for so I went with something a lot easier than my usual! I picked up some lindt chocolate balls (the best!) and made little bags for them! I went for a playdate last Friday at my friend Sophie's (she has 3 boys) (oh and for those I've met at scrapfest you know Sophie!) She also has a Slhouette ad Cricut. Looking through her cuts I liked a bag cut on one of her Cricut cartridges so we used that! Thankful for Sophie and her digital die cut machines, saved so much time. I used papers and embelishments from Pebbles Sunny Side collection (won the whole collection from Gallery Idol last year while I've used it a lot still had a lot!) I was able to cut two bags from 1 12 by 12 sheet, really love how cute it turned out:
Aren't they cute? I made the tags by hand (should have thought to have die cut that at Sophies lol) and heat embossed in white the Thanks! Wrote the teacher's name and from Carter or Ariel on the other side! I really enjoyed putting them together, think of all the fun I could have if I got a Silhouette Chad! You are reading this right? :>
Yesterday was an awesome day! Started with Carter's preschool graduation! Hard to believe that preschool is over that fast! Kinda snuck up on me! Next year he will be going to kindergarten! That is crazy! For those who have been with me since the beginning we were celebrating his first birthday when I started this blog! When we got there we found where to sit by how they decorated the tables:
Isn't it so cute? Carter's picture said he wants to be a teacher! The small picture held a balloon! I made 17 of the tissue paper flowers in white ad royal blue (school colors) and the teacher made the cool vases! Here's a picture of Carter getting his diploma:
Isn't he so handsome in his cap? After the preschool grad we had the awards for Ariel! Classes performed musical numbers and they handed out the awards. The All Year Scripture memorization is a big award! Both kids got it! They have to memorize one scripture a month, Ariel's are a page in length! Ariel also won Christian Service award in her class (one girl and one boy) this and Apostle Paul (greatest academic improvement) are the only extra awards given so it's a big deal! We are so proud of her! This is an award that is voted on by the class! Here's a pic of her with the other kids who won to grade 3:
After awards day we were done school! So to celebrate we went out for lunch at a favorite Famous Dave's BBQ with Chad's brother and there family, so 10 of us!
Last night Chad and I went to the new stadium to see the first game of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers! With the parking drama we parked off site and took the bus in, lots of walking ad figuring stuff out but we had a great time with another couple! Kids spent the night with Chad's parents! And here we are onto the first day of summer, whooo hoo!

Sentiment Thank You Card!
Hello Friends! Hope your having a great last week of June! The countdown is on till the last day of school arrives, which is tomorrow! And as you can imagine this momma is busy with end of the year preparations. Finished off Teacher gifts last night and a few more things to do today, like make 17 tissue paper flowers for Carter's preschool grad tomorrow am!
I wanted to pop in and share a card I made making a background using Sentiment Stamps, I use sentiments from Hero Art's set Thanks a Bunch along with Big Bold Flower (a favorite of mine)
Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts: Big Bold Flower, Thanks a Bunch
Ink: Hero Arts: Tide Pool, Cup of Joe, Ocean
Paper: Hero Arts and PTI
Other: My Minds eye enamel dots
I stamped the sentiments like the set (made it easier to know where to stamp) and featured one sentiment with the brown ink. Added two strips of dark cardstock and finished off the card with the enamel dots, it added just the right touch! I love all the sentiments and the font in this set, it was fun to use them all!
I am entering this card into this week Simon Says Stamp Challenge! It's Anything Goes!
It's been quite hot here the other day we went swimming at a great friends pool, heaven! Today were headed back, loving summer!
Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win the stamp set on the sidebar, a few more days of June to go! I am off to play with tissue paper!

Typewriter Hello, A wreath and Some pics of the Kids!
Hello Crafty Friends! It's Saturday and after such a busy week it's nice to be home and checking off the to do list! I have quite the crafty to do list: finish three wreaths and mail them; do some card write ups for pubs and mail them; make 17 tissue paper flowers for Carter's preschool grad! Oh well good thing I love being crafty right? This week has been a great etsy week, sold 3 wreaths, just got an email of another sale! :>
Today I have a fun card to share with you using one of my favorite stamp sets, Typewriter Notes by Hero Arts. I think the last time I owned or used a typewriter was in high school but that does not stop my love of them! I think I own three sets that feature typewriters!
Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts: Hexagon Background, Typewriter notes
Inks: Hero Arts: Orange Soda, Bubble Gum Pink, Tsuenko: Versamark
Cardstock: Bazzill, and Papertrey Inks Hawaiian Shores
Twine: Twine by the Twinery
I stamped the hexagon background and sentiments with versamark to make a watermark background! I love doing this on a vivid cardstock, looks great!
This week I finished up a local custom order, she wanted the wreath to be wider so I shared with her how to achieve that is a pool noodle, and she wanted that so I did it! It took up a whole thing of yarn (what is a roll or whole yarn called?) Also a new color combo:
A local high school students were looking for some child models to practice taking photos for there photography class so I volunteered my kids (I always love shots of them!) And got some really great shots:
Isn't Carter beyond cute? He's so photogenic! He's 4 and a half turning 5 at the end of August! Tall for his age he looks like he should be going to grade 1 not kindergaten! It's fun to watch at soccer on his team he's the tallest and hasn't played against anyone taller! He's so sweet too and loves his big sister!
Even though they were so silly they still got some great shots of them together!
Ariel is 7 and will be 8 in November! She's finishing grade 2 (already) And though she can't wait for summer she is a great student with her strength being math (even though it's not her favorite) While she is also tall for her age she isn't the tallest girl in her class! I can't believe she is so big!
Well that's it for me! Off to work on my creative list and the home list (you know the one that never ends...) 4 more days of school till Summer starts! Almost here!

More Father's Day Cards!
Hello Crafty Friends! It's Saturday and sunny and beautiful outside which after a forecast of rain we are much thankful for! I wanted to pop in and share more Father's Day cards! once again I am having fun using the Graphic Greetings Dad's stamp set by Taylored Expressions, this stamp really makes making Dad cards that much easier, and since it doesn't mention Father's Day you really could use it all year round!
I made another card with the same papers and stamps but a different design:
I was at a friend's place who has a silhouette and before I had shared with her how I loved the speech bubble shape and she made one up on and cut me a bunch! So which card do you prefer? Even though I made the speech bubble one up first I prefer the twine card!
One last card to share that was a custom order:
This is actually take two of this card, I stamped it all adhered it all walked away and kept thinking something was off, well on the first version I stamped the small p a q and it took me forever to notice! Thankful I noticed in time to remake it before my friend came to get it!
Since I used a transport image, the truck I am entering this card into this weeks Simon Says Stamp challenge!
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend celebrating Father's Day! We've had a great weekend so far, went to Chad's grandmother's for dinner last night, she is almost 90! Today we're going to a friend's to watch the hockey game and than tomorrow were spending the day with both our families (one for lunch one for dinner) Busy weekend but proving to be fun! My next tackle is Teacher Gifts! :>

Graphic Banner Dad Card!
Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Thursday! Both kids are in school and I am enjoying some time to myself, you know cleaning, laundry and now blogging! I hope your week has been well! It's been pretty great here! Yesterday was my husband's Chad's birthday! He is enjoying a birthday week with dinner at this parents last Friday, guys night this past Sunday celebrating his birthday, his friend took him golfing and out for wings, and yesterday we went out as a family, and on Friday were off to his grandmother's for a birthday dinner! Lucky Chad! And this weekend is Father's DayI
Father's day is just a few days away and I have been busy creating Father's day cards! Today I am sharing one I made yesterday, actually the last one i made but one of my favorites. I used this Graphic Greetings Dad stamp set by Taylored Expressions, but I used it differently and made this card:
I stamped the stamp a few times in Hero Arts inks: Orange Soda,Cup of Joe, Tide Pool, Butter bar, and Ocean. Than I cut it apart made banners and adhered it to the card. After I was done adhering and placing the banners (had to play around with them to figure out the best way to use it) I than used my cutter to cut off all the extra banners on the edge. The card seemed to be missing something so I added some enamel dots, which really seemed to bring the card together! It's not the typical way to use the stamp but it's an easy way to make a banner card like this by using a "subway" style stamp and cutting up each line!
I love this stamp and I promise to be back later this week to share more cards with it! That's it for me! Off to the grocery store out of a lot of veggies and fruits and over here that's not good! :>

Wonderful Friend, Aqua and Coral Wreath!
Happy Saturday Friends! Starting off a windy sunny Saturday with a spring cold, watery eyes and a headache! After resting all morning I am feeling a bit better and thought I would blog. Ariel is off to a birthday party and Carter doesn't know it yet but were all taking naps over here this afternoon!
I am here to share a card for the Playdate Cafe's Challenge! When I saw this week's colors I loved it, the photos are so inspirational. And I must really love the colors because while laying in bed across in my closet I could see my pants in the teal and magenta right next to each other! It was meant to be! I had to play along!
Here is my card:
I used WPlus9 Design Studios set Embroidered Flowers and made a CAS card featuring the playdate colors, I used tide pool, wet cement by Hero Arts and Lilac Posies by Memento!
On Thursday we had Ariel's piano recital and she did great! Afterwards we went for ice cream with some of her friends (who also take piano) and there families for ice cream! I got a great picture of Ariel at the piano, before she went up I told her when you sit down turn to me and smile so I sat in front got out the camera and said smile she turned and did and got a chuckle from the crowd!
Can you see her missing front tooth, she lost it just the day before!
I was approached to donate some items to the Children's Rehabilitation RBC Cruise down the Crescents silent auction. I was happy to help so I donated a wreath, two baby hair clips and two pacifier clips. I came up with a way to package the hair bands and clips:
I also added this wreath to etsy, aqua and coral are hot colors this season so I had to make a wreath in them! You can find the wreath here, please do me a favor and open it up (more hits) If you would like to pin it, please pin it off etsy or from here.
Thank you so much for popping by today! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

May/June Paper Crafts Pub
Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Thursday! We are quite excited for Ariel's piano recital tonight! She is excited too, for not just that but because she is getting a long awaited toy, a baby stuffed Ariel doll as she saw it and wanted it desperately and I said not now but if you practice your recital piece everyday yes! :> It's a cute toy and I would have bought it anyways this way though no arguments for lessons!
Today I am excited to share with you a publication I have in May/June's issue of Paper Crafts Magazine! When the call was out I went crazy for the Mother's Day wrap call on the last day of the call and was thrilled when I got two projects picked up! One of them is in the print issue and the other is in the digital issue so I thought I would share the one in the digital issue. (Do you get the digital issue of PC? It's pretty awesome lots of extra projects!)
So fun! For more details please check out the digital issue of the May/June issue of Paper Crafts!
Can't believe how fast this week is going by! Looking forward to our weekend as there is no school tomorrow and the weather is actually calling for nice weather! Trying to enjoy parks and fun spring activity before it gets hot and it's all about swimming!
By the way did you see June's RAK on the sidebar? Any comment could win!
See you soon off to finish a wreath!

Baby Boy Congratulations!
Hello Crafty Friends! A start to a new week in a new month, June already! I know I must not be the only one who the year is flying by for! This is a busy month with all sorts but with summer ahead (school lets out of the 27th) I have lots to look forward to!
Yesterday Ariel and I went to a baby shower for a sweet baby boy! I of course left the baby card to the last minute. Make baby cards to have on hand seems to be a goal that's never met! I made a very CAS baby card and I like how it turned out!
Trying to decide on which patterned paper to use I thought this paper would work great but it wasn't very babyish so I quicky thought to use Aqua Mist cardstock by PTI and it brought the much needed baby feeling to this card! I used Onsie Twoosie by Taylored Expressions along with Basic Grey's Knee Highs and Bowties paper and Paper Smooches Duo Die 1!
I am entering this card into this week's Simon Says Challenge, anything goes!
We are much enjoying soccer season over here! Even with so many rainy days Carter only missed one game! The last game last week he scored 4 goals and is in love with soccer now. All he wants to do is go outside and kick the ball! Chad and me take turns playing with him but it doesn't seem to be enough as he will ask any neighbor he can if they want to kick too! Yesterday we had to take his soccer ball into church as he was going home with grandma and grandpa and he had to have his ball!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to leave me a comment in May! The winner of the Hero Arts This is Big stamp set is Maureen Morton!
This month's random RAK for a comment left in June is this stamp set from Flourishes Zinnias!

Here's how and why:
I
am appreciative of the time that you take to visit my blog and I want
to thank you with this. I find joy in blogging and the feedback that
it brings! I have too many stamps that haven't seen ink! This is a new
stamp (as they will be). Doesn't matter where you live I will ship
anywhere! Leave a comment in May on any post and you will have a chance
to win! You don't have to be a blog follower but it would make me
happy and it would be easier for you to find out if you won!
Thank you! See you soon! I should be a much better blogger this month!
