You can find all the information here on the Hero Arts Blog! You should have arrived here from the talented Sue! I am excited to share this card with you, it's inspired by texting! While I am not a huge texter (shocking I know) I much prefer chatting on the phone so I can craft while I chat! But texting is huge way of socailizing now a days! The conversation background along with the sentiment made me think of texting on an iphone and this card was born:
Supplies:
Hero Arts: Typewriter notes set, Conversation Background, Typewriter Alphabet set, Thanks a bunch
Inks: Wet Cement, Splash, Black
Dies: Hearts by Lawn Fawn
I stamped the background with wet cement and than stamped the sentiments over top in the same ink. I used various sentiments from different Hero Arts sets, sentiments that are used a lot in texting. I am happy with how this card turned out, so fun!
If you want to skip the recipe (why would you do that, it's soooooo good) the next stop is Judy!
Now for a recipe! I love baking and don't mind cooking! LOL In fact I often craft so I DON"T BAKE! I like to keep busy! Not only do I love to bake but I also love to eat my baking! So that's why I try not to bake! I struggled with what to share. While I love baking I can't think of what to share. So I thought I would share this recipe from here Banana Brownies! I've made them 3 times in the last month and a half! The brown butter frosting is to die for! I suggest youtubing how to make brown butter frosting so you can see it, it can be finicky but I think once you watch it no problem!
Banana Bread Brownies
Ingredients:
1-1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1-3/4 (3 or 4) ripe bananas, mashed
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Brown Butter Frosting:
1/2 c. butter
4 c. powdered sugar
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tbsp. milk
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375F. Grease and flour 15×10-inch jelly roll pan. For the bars, in a large bowl, beat together sugar, sour cream, butter, and eggs until creamy. Blend in bananas and vanilla extract. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and blend for 1 minute. Stir in walnuts.
2. Spread batter evenly into pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
3. Meanwhile, for frosting, heat butter in a large saucepan over medium heat until boiling. Let the butter turn a delicate brown and remove from heat immediately.
4. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract and milk.
Whisk together until smooth (it should be thicker than a glaze but
thinner than frosting). Using a spatula, spread the brown butter
frosting over the warm bars (the frosting will be easier to spread while
the bars are still warm).
I don't bake it in a jelly roll pan as I don't have one! I bake it on my cookie sheet the same size and since it's 1 inch in height it's perfect! This makes a lot so it's great to make when your going to a bbq or a summer celebration! And trust me everyone loves it! Like my neighbors!
Thank you for stopping by! The next stop for the hop is Judy!
