I am so excited to be here with the Shaping Up Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Miriam's blog if not why not hop along with us there are lots of prizes, the start of the hop is here. Your next stop after me is Eleana.
I am blessed to be one of the Gallery Idol 2012 Paper Crafts Contest Girls! We all became great friends because Laurie made a facebook group for all of us to meet and chat! Being in Gallery Idol was great but the other girls made it truly amazing! They are all such wonderful girls and the whole experience was so much better because of the facebook group! We all had so much fun together and wanted to do
something together to say thank you to Paper Crafts Magazine and the
craft community for supporting us in all the runs. We know many of you
are participating in the Paper Crafts July Gallery Challenge so we put together this blog hop for some inspiration and we each will offer a prize pack!
I am not a big shaped card person! I used to make them when I started crafting but it's been a while! :> I thought and thought and really wanted my shaped card to be summery so I could enter it into this month's Paper Crafts July Gallery Challenge! I don't have a digital cutter so I had to make it by hand! I am really happy with what I came up with!
Here's the inside so you can get a better idea of how I made it:
(Ignore the white tape my scotch has been all used up by the kids!)
I drew the sail boat on a card and figured out how it would work! I used two coffee stir sticks as part of the design and to help hold it together! I used pp from the Echo Park line Hello Summer for the sails! I actually made this card in less than an hour! Not bad for having to figure everything out! So if you don't have a digital cutter either don't stress it you can make a shaped card anyways! Of course I didn't decide on my sentiment until after the card was all done! So I had to take the stir stick off and than stamp the sentiment, thankfully it worked! I think that sentiment works well with a day of sailing!
GIVEAWAY
I am still awaiting my prize from the Gallery Idol! I have been stalking my mailman that now when he sees me he tells me no packages for you today! HA! So I can't show you what I am giving away! I should hope that the package arrives this week for sure and once it does I will post the picture! This giveaway is open until Monday July 30th or later, either I will update here with the picture of the prize once I receive my prize or I will wait and post it with the winner. So it's open until MONDAY JULY 30th! YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A FOLLOWER BUT IF YOU ARE YOU CAN ENTER TWICE. Please leave your email to make life easier! :>
If you have gotten lost or would like to see the whole blog hop list please refer to our facebook event page!
We would love to see your shaped cards and hope we have inspired you! If you have made new shaped cards for
the PC challenge or you are inspired to make some new ones, link it up
