Cards that Care Blog Hop!

Hello!  Happy Friday!  I am thrilled to be taking part in the Cards that Care blog hop!  You should have arrived here from Jenny's blog!  If you didn't we would love to have you take part please check out Vera's blog for the start of the hop and all the info about Cards that Care!  There is also a ton of prizes you can win from both sending in cards and leaving comments on the hop!   These companies generously offer prizes for the hop: Lawn Fawn, Penny Black, Sweet Stamps Shop, Avocado Arts, & I Love It All.

I really love this Cards that Care drive.   Such a great drive that Vera and Jennifer put together! The holidays can be a very hard time for people especially when they are alone.  I can't imagine what is like for some elderly people who are alone in a nursing home, missing there family and not able to spend the holidays with them.  I love making cards as I am sure you do too.  The difference that a card can make for an elderly person in a nursing home makes making that card even more special. I really want to encourage you to take part.  Even if you can only send in one card send it in, it will make a difference!

I wanted to play with the Hero Arts stamp bird on a tree and couldn't decide what colors to use so I made three with different colors:


The blue one is my favorite:





I stamped the bird on a tree in moss green, robins' egg, and cranberry pigment ink by colorbox.  Added my favorite twine by the twinery colored in the birds and added a scalloped piece to the bottom!  The cards a smidge smaller than regular size just to accommodate the image better.

    Love the cards, its great to see the same stamps used in different color combos, really shows the versatilities. I think my fav is the green one, but I like cardinals. Beautiful twine and snowflake details. thank you for sharing and supporting a wonderful cause.
