Hi everyone! Happy Sunday! I am here with a card for the first ever Hero Arts Flickr Group Blog Hop! So excited for this! Hopefully you've hopped over here from the talented Libby! I love Hero Arts, and I love the Hero Arts Flickr group! Such an amazing group of crafters! So happy I took the "risk" of joining with my creations, and taking part, I've made some amazing online friends! I want to encourage any of you who are reading this who aren't part yet to join in on the fun, Hero Arts makes such great stamps with great quality so it's easy!
Currently my husband is driving to Regina a city about 6 hours from here for the Labor Day Classic, a football game that is yearly between our two cities! He is quite excited as it's his first time going to this game, and he is going with a good friend. My hubby's aunt lives out there so they have somewhere to stay! Ariel is at the cabin with my in laws and family so it's just me and Carter! Who since Ariel is gone has been into a bit of mischief. He found a box of spaghetti in the pantry and threw it down the basement stairs! And since the stairs are carpeted there was spaghetti on each step! I asked Chad if he saved the spaghetti and he said no, it was whole wheat! So funny! Than today I found Carter coloring, the pantry door! Luckily it was with crayola washable markers! My little monkey!
For today's card I wanted to play with the current challenge at Hero Arts which is Everything Autumn or simple gift bags! Here is my card:
After I made my last card embossing on a doily with this stamp I wanted to try it again but with color! I added color to the doily with antique linen and tea die distress ink. Than I inked up my stamp with versamark, colored it with markers, sprayed with water, stamped it and than clear embossed over top! I wasn't sure if it would work with such a large stamp but it does! And right when I started coloring it the phone rang so I colored it the whole time and when I finally got off the phone stamped it and embossed it so you don't have to worry about being fast! I like how embossing it brings the colors so much more vibrant! I also clear embossed the cling dots by HA on the kraft and tied an orange bow on top! After making so many fun summery cards I actually enjoyed playing with these autumn colors!
