Hello Foxy!

Hello!  Happy Happy Saturday!  I hope your starting your weekend well!  Friday was nice and relaxing over here!  Today I am here with another fantastic Scrappy Saturday Wee Memories Challenge!  We have a terrific sponsor this week, Tiffany Doodles!
Our challenge this week is paper piecing!

This is my first time paper piecing digital stamps.  I guess I put it off because I didn't want to put a whole piece of pp through my printer!  And a lot of my papers are smaller 6 by 6 ones and I didn't think they could go through the printer.  But my Wee design team girls were chatting back and forth about different ways of doing it.  And one way was to print your images out than cut and tape on the pattern papers and run it through the printer again!  Maybe I knew this and forgot, maybe you know this already but I wanted to share it with you just in case!  Here is my card, I got to play with the Dancing Dress:

I printed it on some papers by Basic Grey.  I embossed the paper with a quickutz dots folder.  As I thought about what sentiment to use on here I thought of this sentiment by Lawn Fawn in my Woodland Creatures set and so had to use it!  It makes me laugh!

Seeing as I am sharing a card with a dress on it I thought it would be fun to share some fun facts about me and dresses:

In grade 10 I did not wear a pair of pants all year long!  It was skirts and dresses!  I actually didn't own a pair of jeans until University!

Another fun fact is that Ariel takes after me, so far this Spring she has 7 new dresses!  4 Easter dressy dresses (at least my mother bought 2) and she will wear them to church, 2 more casual but so cute still and a summer dress!  And yesterday I did just bought Ariel a really cute skirt!!!

So it's midnight here and I just got a really good idea for a card, what would you do?  I am going to be a good girl and NOT make it!  I am going to go and draw it so I don't forget!  Please make sure to check out the rest of the DT's always amazing work at the Wee Memories blog!  I so hope you play along this week!

Lucsious Mother

Hello!  I hope that your having a wonderful Friday!  I just got back from a nice long walk with Carter.  It's so sunny and warm here today, but oh so windy!  Sadly apparently this weekend the forecast is for rain, and maybe snow!  Ack yes it's almost May and I still have to worry about snow! I am popping in with a Mother's day card that I made after I made yesterday's card.  I am really enjoying playing with this Hello Luscious collection!

I showed this card to one of my crafty friends and she told me it's her favorite card I've ever made!  I really like it too!  I love the sentiment as it's perfect for Mother's Day!  Again for the flowers I embossed the aqua and chestnut powders on the "solid" papers from the set!  :>

Last night I went shopping for a bit, had to get Ariel some more spring clothes and I had coffee with a friend who I've been friends for ages but never hung out one on one.  It was nice!  Than we joined two other girl friends and saw a movie:

And yes it's as good as you think it is!  We all loved it!  It was so nice to see it with some friends.  Relax in an almost empty theater with a few of your girlfriends!

See you tomorrow with another Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge!

A Hostess Thank You!

Hello!  And a Happy Thursday to you!  Today on the Hero Arts Blog for there Social Club us Hero Arts Hostesses have thank you cards featured!  It's hard to believe that the three months are almost at an end!  I feel that April went the fastest!  Being a Hero Arts Hostess is a dream come true for me!  I have loved every minute of it!  It came at the best time for me, during a very cold winter!  I enjoyed the excuse to stay at home and craft and have fun in the flickr group!  I am so thankful to have been asked to be a hostess, I still can't believe it! I am so thankful for everything that came with it!  Thank you to Hero Arts!!!  Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to make 2 videos for the blog, it was so much fun and I enjoyed learning how to do that!  Thank you to my fellow hostess sisters Linda, Heather Maria, Sharon and Sally I have so enjoyed chit chatting with you and getting to know you more!  Your all so talented! I look forward to our friendship continuing to grow!  Thank you to all my Flickr friends, your kind comments and friendship really means a lot.  Tami and Libby your soooo kind and easy to work with, thank you for everything!  Sometimes being a stay at home mom can be hard.  Having a hobby has made it easier, having friends who share my hobby and are so kind in the Flickr group and my blog here has made it even better.  Before I would share my cards with anyone who would look at them and yap about it!  :> I want to be the best mom I can be and having something that is for me has really helped me.  Here is my thank you card:

I'll be honest I love my card!  :>  I so enjoyed playing with both the papers and stamps from the Hello Luscious line!  It's so much easier to play when it matches!  I know you must be sick already of this aqua and chestnut embossing powder but it matched and worked and looks so different on the colored paper!

I am also going to enter this card into the Make It and Mail it challenge that the wonderful Lisa Spangler is having!

And since I am going to the post office already I am going to mail these cards too: (by the way Lisa encourages that you don't have to make a new card to enter her contest you can just use a card you made already and have sitting there!!!)

By the way my winner from my last post hasn't emailed me yet, but I did just post that last night so check the next post to see if it was you!  :>

I hope you have a great rest of your week!  The weather here is beautiful so we have been enjoying a lot of time outside!  I have a big test in less than 2 weeks so I am trying to study as much as I can! :>

Yay Tiffany!!!  Email me your address at incardible at gmal dot com!!  And I will send you some goodies!  By the way now that you all know my voice I will share this.  I must sound young on the phone because more often than not I get asked "May I please speak to your mother?"  Sigh if it's a telemarketer I go for the opportunity of saying she isn't home!  :>

Today I have two cards to share.  The first is an Easter card that I made for the Easter and Spring Card Exchange that  I organized at the Flickr Hero Arts group.  I sent mine to Sally and she said she received it.  I made an Easter card and did it in soft colors:

And my next card to share is one that I made for a Hostess challenge us hostess are having in the HA flickr group here.  We choose to be inspired by each other, and I was inspired by Sharon.  I loved her card here and this is what I created:

Well I better run!  I am probably going to be posting a lot in the next few days :>  I've been making A LOT of Mother's day cards since I have a lot of orders.  And I've been studying my course!

Happy Easter and Project 365!

Hello!!!  I am wishing you a late Happy Easter!  I have an Easter card I made for my inlaws last minute to share with you:

The image is from The Greeting Farm it was a freebie on there blog here!  I made this card quite quickly in all honesty!  I may have forgotten that I needed an Easter card for my inlaws!  I colored the image with my derwent and prisma pencils!  I embossed in Chestunt the sentiment from Hero Arts.  Since I did emboss I am going to enter it into this week's Simon Says Challenge!  And added a flower given to me from my hostess sister Linda!  And ruffled some ribbon at the bottom!  I love ruffling ribbon!

I am also entering this into the Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge #51.  I had planned to and than forgot!  Luckily it's not over yet!  I was inspired by the pink and the baskets!

I am also going to do my Project 365 my way this post!  I am going to focus on Easter Weekend as it was very busy and lots to share!  But I did want to share some funny things Ariel said this week.  I was trying to convince Ariel to sing in the children's choir for Mother's Day and she said "I will if it's for Father's Day"  Yes she said that!  Than later I was "teaching" her my own Mommy is the best song trying to get her to sing along when she told me "I am not going to sing that song it's not for Daddy!"  Yoy hurt mommy much?  No I knew she was being silly!  And she is singing in the Childrens choir, I managed to convince her!  (It helped that a few girls from her class are!)

Thursday was Ariel's last day of school before Easter.  I decided to make her whole class treats again since I found a great idea here.  Here they are, they were a big hit:

Thursday was early dismissal so Ariel had a friend over to play for a bit:

Good Friday is a holiday here in Canada.  We had such a busy week it was very nice to be able to enjoy a day at home.  We also decorated Easter eggs with the kids, I have a bunch of cute photos notice the eggs and Carter in the next two photos:

I was trying to "help" him put in the eggs in the die but while taking these photos he put 3 eggs in one bowl of die himself!  And he throws them in!  Here are more:

We got a really cute set that had hats and hair and face stickers!  Ariel did that while Carter napped!  It was super fun!  (And I realize it's always this plate in photos, I must really like this plate!)

Here's a cute photo of us horsing around and cuddling on the couch (a good example of how when cuddling Ariel, Carter always has to get in on it!)

On Saturday Chad and I had a wedding to go to.  It was for his cousin, we had a nice time!  It was at a conservatory here are some pictures:

And here are our Easter photos, we left the kids some goodies from the Easter bunny on the coffee table, here they are after they woke up finding it:
After a packed great church service (love that it was packed!) We went to my parents for lunch.  I took some photos outside first:

Girls Just Wanna Have fun!

Hello!  And a Happy Saturday to you!  I hope that you are enjoying this special weekend of Easter with your families!  Good Friday is a holiday here in Canada and we enjoyed the day at home after a much too busy week!  Chad and I are looking forward to going to a wedding for a cousin of his tonight!!  (I wanted to add if you haven't already maybe after this post read the last one till the end!!)

I am here with a new Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge!  This week we are all very excited to have a new design team member, Chupa, she is crazy talented!  This week our sponsor is Magnolialicious!!!  They have the cutest image stamps!
Our challenge this week is "Girls Just Wanna Have fun!!"  So anything girl themed.

So your either going to LOVE my card today or HATE it!  I saw this idea when I watched the video at the Create blog here and had to try it!  I tweaked it a bit in the middle and the tails of the ribbon!  Here it is:

I thought that a bow is very girly and had to use it for my card!  The bow is some Crate paper that I was hoarding and the stamps are some new Hero Arts!  So what do you think??

I hope that you join us this week and play, I really think that this challenges is super fun!  :>  Our Top Hoot will recieve 3 Mini Stamps from Magnolia Mini World!  Make sure to check out the Wee Memories blog for more info and to see my fellow DT's creations!!!

Man Up a good Wednesday!

Hello!  Yesterday was a fab day for me! Warning this post is a long one but at the end it's worth the read! A very busy day, I'll give you a quick rundown.  Started the day at Stay and Play, got some groceries (side note when I came home saw that I was overcharged $18 make sure to always check your bill!!) fed kiddies lunch put Carter down for a nap, went and got Easter pictures taken at 3:30 (only appointment I could get! And boy do I ever find pictures stressful!) Came home after 4 to a message from my aunt that they are in the area and going to pop in!  Quick visit with aunt and uncle, than I rushed and worked a Cosmetic and Fragrance gala event in the Fragrance counter!  Came home and made 23 Easter Treats for Ariel's class!  Surprise visit from my brother at 11 and I got to bed very late!  No wonder my head hurts today!  I was going to go for a power walk but I think I am just going to take it easy today!  Yesterday was a fab day for me because of 2 things:

A video I made was on the Hero Arts Blog!!!!!!!!!  Have you seen it?  I hope that you liked it, if you haven't go and check it out here!  This is only my second video (both on for the HA blog!) And I loved making it!  As I mentioned in the video I was thinking about one part of this month's challenge theme at Hero Arts and thought about how hard it can be to make masculine cards.  That sometimes it can be daunting and you just don't want to do it!  I wanted to make it easier and more fun so I thought hmmmm I should check out a Home Improvement store!  It's not like I can go into the garage and look my hubby isn't really a handy man!  Plus the garage is dirty!  So I headed the home store and slowly walked around.  By the way make sure you keep your eyes open for what is ahead of you, I almost walked into a large pipe that was in a cart!  And I was asked by a whole lotta associates at the home store if I needed help.  I shouldn't have told them why I was there, they did not get it!  Hmmm I should bring my cards there when I go for more supplies, maybe than they would get it!   Here are the cards I made for the video:

It doesn't get more manly than washers and sandpaper!!!

And late last night while slaving away (just kidding) on the Easter Treats I made for Ariel's class (will post pics later  :>)  I took a break and went down the computer and saw that my friend and fellow Wee Memories DT member Laurel sent an email congratulating me that I was Cup of the Week at PlayDate Cafe for my card set that I made for my friend as a baby gift!  WHAT?  I was beyond shocked!  I don't win that often!  Isn't it nice that I won for a gift that I made for a close friend, making her 19 cards to bless her and I am blessed to?  After seeing that I won I ran upstairs and told my hubby and did the happy dance!!  He looked at me like I was crazy!  I wish I could have instead went to one of you my friends and did the happy dance, you would have understood!  I reminded him that just minutes ago he was screaming over the Red Wings score!

By the way I wanted to share if you remember in my last post (Mother's Day card tall flower) I mentioned that Chad and I were going to watch Glee and than go to bed.  So were lounging on the couch and loving Glee almost at the end and in the quiet of fast forwarding the commercials we hear Ariel's sleepy tiny voice call out "Are you watching a NEW glee?????"  She never wakes up at night!  But she must have heard the music knew it was glee realized that Mommy and Daddy are watching a new Glee without her!  Of course we were going to watch it without her we have to prescreen it to know what is acceptable to watch!  :>

Wow Wednesday was a crazy but awesome day for me!  I am so thankful for everything! And I want to thank one of you for being my friend, for reading my blog for leaving me kind comments!  So I am going to borrow from my dear friend Virginia's idea and draw from THIS POST a winner to receive a card from me plus some goodies!  I will keep it a surprise as I LOVE SURPRISES!   And you can stalk your mail man as you wait!  I will draw for this on Tuesday April 19th 2011!!!

Mother's Day Tall Flower!

Hello!  And a happy Tuesday to you!  I can't believe how long of a day it's been!  Sleep is calling me, but first I am going to watch a PVR'd (like a DVR) episode of Glee!!!  Oh and I am feeling mighty proud of myself I fed the kids dinner, let them play outside, bathed them, fed them snack, read stories and got them in bed by 8!  I can never manage by 8 it's usually 8:15 to 8:30!  Chad had to work tonight so I did it all myself!  A friend stopped by tonight also and we enjoyed a latte I made for us!  It's always nice to have a chat with a girl friend!

I wanted to say thank you so much for all the wonderful comments I received over the card set I made for my close friend that I shared yesterday!  :>

Today I wanted to pop in with a card I made for the current Hero Arts challenge, I went with the paper layering part of it and made a Mother's Day card.  This is my second Mother's Day card so far, but technically my first remember this card, Carter took a cat's eye and inked up the inside!  He really loves those little inks and I have to watch him!  I am going to try to save it by mounting the front...  Here is my card, I really enjoyed stamping on the pattern paper and cutting it out:

This card has been picked up for publication!

Airplane Baby Boy Card Set!

Hello!  Happy Monday!  Today I have a card set to share with you.  One of my really good friends Elaine had her second child two weeks ago, a baby boy.  This is her second baby boy so I emailed her to ask her what she needed as a baby gift, or would she like for me to make her some thank you card sets in her babies room colors?  She emailed me back that she didn't need anything but would love some thank you cards!  I wanted to bless Elaine and make a whole lotta cards for her so I made 19, I actually made 20 but I may have sorta forgotten about a card from me so I changed one to be a congrats one literally 20 minutes before going to visit!  On Saturday Elaine and Chris opened there home for a few hours and invited all of there friends to come and stop by to meet the new baby.  This is such a great idea rather than calls all the time from friends of when does it work for both of us for us to come over?  One time cleaning and getting all ready easier with a new baby.  I wish I had thought of that!  :>

Elaine's new babies room is green, brown and white!  I was inspired by the colors for my cardset.  I am also entering this into the Moxie Fab World, 350 Card Sets Challenge!  I make sets all the time so I was happy to see this challenge!   And lucky me my friend Jinny told me that this week's colors at PDCC is the ones I've used!  I love it when that happens!  And this is one of my favorite color combos!

I stamped the polka dots from the polka dot basics in brown ink on the kraft cardstock, and the sentiment by HA in the same ink.  I cut out the felt clouds with my PTI clouds die and stamped the airplane by PTI in green pigment ink and clear embossed.  Cutting out 20 airplanes was the hardest.  Using adhesive backed felt was the best idea ever!  To make it easier to know where to stamp the polka dots and the sentiment after I did the first I made myself a little guide on some scratch paper and lined my card up, made it so much faster too!  This set took me 2 nights I suppose.

As I mentioned earlier I completely forgot about a card from me congratulating my friend!  So I quickly adjusted one of the thank you cards to be a congrats card!  :>  And this is how I wrapped it, in a small kraft gift bag that I decorated:

When I could go it was during Carter's nap time so Chad stayed home with him and I took Ariel.  Elaine lives super close but I still had a great conversation with her in the car on the way:

Ariel:  "Are we going to Landon's birthday party?" (Landon is first child, the older brother)
Me "No we just went to Landon's birthday party!  We are going to meet his new baby brother Lucas!"
Ariel "I wanted Aunty Elaine to have a girl!"
Me "Yes but God blessed her with a boy!"
Ariel "really???"  All puzzled and you can see that she's thinking! Whenever someone has the same gender child she doesn't seem to get it!  So funny I guess she thinks that other families should be like hers!

Ariel loved holding Lucas, she held him for a while, here is a picture:

Elaine thinks I should have another baby so she asked Ariel if she would like mommy to have another baby.  Ariel was quiet and looking at me all shyly (probably knowing it's not happening!) said Yes!  :>  Ariel really loves babies, I remember when she was 18 months and all of our friends having there seconds Ariel going to lay beside them and cuddle them!  Here is a picture of my friend and her sweet baby:

Elaine loved the card set! I was so happy!  :>  Ariel also had a funny conversation with me later.  I just can't remember right now!  I will think and edit this when I remember....
