Mother's Day Butterflies!

Hello!  Happy Tuesday!  I hope your having a great day!  Today has been a nice day at home.  Ariel actually stayed home sick from school, she has a fever!  She's been spending the day on the couch!  I really hope she feels better soon!  :>  And Carter gave me quite a scare today, he was walking down the steps to go outside and managed to start falling head first!  His head just missed the concrete step as his body flipped and he landed sitting up on the grass!  My MIL was over too and it was like watching in slow motion and I felt glued in my spot!  He cried for a bit and has been fine!  Praise God!

Yesterday I worked the federal election here in Canada.  I enjoyed it!  I didn't work with the ballots but instead registering people.  I like that job better!  I took my book to study and got a lot done but after a while I couldn't read that any more!  Since we were in a baptist church I asked another election worker who was also a custodian at the church to find me a parenting book.  He brought me back James Dobson's Strong Willed Child!  I laughed!  As well that's Carter! I actually managed to read most of the book, I can read fast, it was slow and I read what applied to Carter's age due to my limited time!  And I got paid for it all!  But over 12 hours is one long day!

I've been busy making Mother's Day cards!  My friend asked me to make her 5!  This one is very girly:

I am going to enter this into this month's Hero Arts contest one of the challenges is Colored Pencils!  I colored the butterflies with prisma pencils and blended it with mineral spirits (odorless paint thinner!) I've been playing around with my ruffling with ribbon and tried this way this time....

Well that's it!  I think I am going to go and take the kids for a walk as it's beautiful and I think Ariel could use some time outside!  :>

Poor Ariel! I hope she's feeling better soon. I know how scary it is to watch a fall like Carter's. Your heart stops and you can't breathe. Thank goodness he's okay!
