Twine Butterfly

Hello!  A happy Saturday to you!  I hope that your weekend is a having a great start!  We have a weekend with two princess birthday parties!  Thankfully I only have to go to one!  :>  Today I am here with a new Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge!  This week we have one of my favorite sponsor's, The Twinery!!!

I don't think I need to tell any of you how much I love the baker's twine from the twinery!  I find myself using it ALL THE TIME!  I love how it's so colorful (I think the most colorful of the baker's twine I've seen!) I love how much it adds to a card, and I love how easy it is too tie!  I really find myself never messing with trying to tie a bow with it, it's so easy!  Our challenge this week is "Tangled Up in Twine!"  I had a lot of fun coming up with a fun way to use the twine:

I covered a piece of cardstock with adhesive and slowly added twine in a rainbow of colors row by row.  I than ran it through my big shot with the a Bigz butterfly die.  I kept the card clean for the butterfly to shine and added a rainbow strip of the twine!

By the way this is the second butterfly I made!  My first I have no clue what happened to it!  I had made the butterfly and than put it aside and couldn't come back to creating for a few days.  When I went to finish my card I couldn't find the butterfly!  And I looked ALL OVER MY HOUSE!  I kept thinking to myself oh I am going to find it!  Ariel was at school so I couldn't ask her if she had gotten crafty with it, I think she did!  I am still wondering where it went!  Thankfully I was babysitting my friends son who is close in age to Carter  they were giggling and playing away so I was able to make a second butterfly and concentrate on it!

I hope you will join us this week and play along!  The Top Hoot will win a Twinery Sampler Pack (9 colors)!!!  Please check out the Wee Memories blog for more info and to see the rest of the DT's beauitful cards!!!

This is gorgeous, Anita! I love how you made a rainbow butterfly out of twine! That is too funny how your first butterfly disappeared. I hope you'll let us know what happened to it if and when you do find it! I laughed when you commented on my blog that your husband took one of your cards and gave it to you. LOL

How awesome is this! Love your rainbow butterfly! I'm getting to like twine more and more myself, was never a really big user of it before, but it's catching on me!

This is GORGEOUS, Anita! LOVE it to pieces! So funny about your first creation. You'll have to share with us what happened to it, when it shows up. If I found that pretty thing just lying around, I'd hide it someplace real special. LOL!
