Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge 22

Good morning!  I am here late with my Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge!  First of all I want to say thank you to all my wonderful blogging friends who left me the sweetest comments this weekend regarding my heartbreak in sending my daughter to kindergarten!  It really did make me feel better to read your comments!  I really want to share with you how blessed I am by your friendship!  When I left Ariel she was crying and what a hard way to leave.  I should have hung around the hallway to check again but  was crying too hard and there were a lot of people I knew giving me sympathetic looks!  It was hard knowing I left her like that and I did consider calling the school to check as it was my good friend at the receptionists desk!  But I didn't!  Turns out Ariel stopped crying right away and was okay.  They said she did well but was a bit quiet and hung back and with it being the first day the teacher didn't want to push that.  When I picked her up she was quiet and wasn't saying much, as soon as we get into the car she becomes herself again and starts talking like crazy!  She told us all about it all night and how much she loved kindergarten and how she would like to go tomorrow (which was Saturday so that wasn't going to happen!)  Hearing her talk so happily about it was awesome!  I took Ariel to the mall with me that night to run some errands and bought her some new earrings.  It was great to have some time with her!  I am happy also to share that I haven't cried since Friday at 2:00.

Today I have my card for the current Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday challenge to share with you!  I am so sorry I am late.  I worked a shift on Saturday and was exhausted after, I don't think it works well to work over lunch and not have a lunch break (5 hour shifts do not get a break!) Than on Sunday I spent as much time as I could playing with the Hero Arts Operation Write Home challenges.  This week we have an amazing inspiration:

Our challenge this week was picked by my fellow DT member Laurel. Please check out her blog here. The challenge is Fall Into Autumn!  Here is my card:

I stamped the background Friends Def with TH Distress Inks in Tea Die.  Than I inked the dandelion with versamark, colored with markers and sprayed with water, stamped and clear embossed it!

I hope you can play with us this week!  The challenge runs onto 11:59 pm PST on Friday Sept 17, 2010.  We have a great prize from SEI,A prize package that includes TWO acrylic stamp sets, a 6x6 paper pad and 3 ink pads. What a prize!  Maybe you could win it!

I will be back later to share my cards for Operation Write Home..

So glad that Ariel had come through the BIG transition and she is now loving Kindergarten! And that didn' take long-which is GREAT! I had to stay with my little guy for two months when he went to preschool!! I think I cried harder than he did (LOL)! Those were the days...Love your beautiful stamping, Anita! This card is absolutely gorgeous!

Love your card, Anita! Simply lovely colors!
I think you did the right thing by leaving Ariel, even tho' she was bawling. She seems to have adjusted well and things will only get easier from now!
