Operation Write Home

Hiya!  Happy Tuesday!  I am trying to keep busy over here as Ariel is in kindergarten today!  So far so good!  I leave for Scrapfest this Thursday, so 2 days away so I have lots to do!  I can't believe that it's so close!  I think with Ariel starting school I wasn't able to get as excited for it but now that she has I can if that makes any sense!  I am traveling down with 3 of my friends 2 of who I traveled with last year so I know what to expect traveling with them!  We all get along well and have the same goal of fun at Scrapfest and shopping as much as we possibly can!

Today I have some cards to share with you that I made this weekend for Operation Write Home.  I may be Canadian but I wanted to help with the US troops since the US is less than 2 hours away.  And I think it's a great cause.  It has made me wonder if there is something similar for Canadian Troops so I plan to look into that, any of my Canadian blog friends know?  There was a virtual card party on the Hero Arts flickr group, and it was as much fun as you think it would be!  Here are the cards I made in the way I made them and posted them.

This may be my favorite card from the whole weekend, it was based on a sketch!  Expect to see another card with this sketch as I love it so!

Made these for the punch out challenge, and words of encouragement challenge!  Which one do you like better?

Made this one for the words of encouragement challenge.  I am loving lace!

I made these for the 1.5 hour challenge that was for a one layer card.  The airplanes have glossy accents on it!

This one is for a scraps challenge, I found the nestie all inked up and distressed with ink in my craft drawer!  I think it's from a year ago!  The paper was old too!

This photo was taken at night and made late at night can you tell?  My crafting starts to go downhill as I get tired...

Well that's it for today!  Happy crafting!  I gotta start dinner!
