embossed meadow

Hello!  Well the first of September is here and with it fall weather has arrived!  I won't lie to you, I am not a fall girl!  I love the summer and with my daughter starting kindergarten this year I hate it even more!  Although I do have something to look forward to, Scrapfest in Minneapolis!  I am going on a girls trip with three of my friends from here, and looking forward to meeting up with a bunch of my Hero Arts Flickr friends!  Scrapfest is so much fun and I was able to sign up for a Hero Arts Class and a Tim Holtz class also!  And I have shopping to look forward to also!  It's going to be so fun!  Anyone else I know going to scrapfest?

Today I have two cards to share that I made the other night.  I saw the Etsy Inspired Challenge this week and fell in love with the shop, The Caged Fairy and loved this necklace:

Isn't it divine?  Oh how I wish I could wear necklaces!  So many beauitful ones!  I wanted to play with a dolie as I really like them and have a hard time coming up with ways to use them so I thought of embossing the blooming meadow stamp by Hero Arts on a doily!  I didn't have gray embossing so I went for black:

I am so pleased with how it turned out!  I used some blue pp that I have and distressed it.  I love the feel to this card! Do you know when your crafting and you make something that you really enjoyed making and are so pleased with how the idea in your head turned out?  That's how I feel about this card!  I think also that my kids were finally in bed and I had some me time helped also! :> Because everything was out I made another card that is similar to one I made before:

I enjoyed adding the lace under the bow!  I am really enjoying embossing. :>  And tieing bows!  The other day when I got to work I had to tie probably 50 bows on baby onsie packages and I loved it!  I just need to find more good ribbon!  :>

Well I hope your having a great week!  I am off to a surprise party dinner for one of my good friends!  Looking forward to an evening out!  :>

Oh, this is really gorgeous, love both versions! I especially love how you stamped directly on the doily, don't see much of that, very unique look!
